  • I had to pull the cam and piston out today and tonight I am going to put back together, could you tell me if there was any play in the shaft after you put on the flywheel? I havent put the oil pan back on yet and I can move the cam up and down about a quarter inch. is that normal or does it have to be real tight? Anything you can tell me man woudl be great. Thanks

  • @acesdude the oil pan helps hold everything, together tight. without it there is a little play in the cam and stuff

  • lmfao did u say Honda=shit. you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. You will find no better small engine than a Honda.

  • all the hondas I had are shit. The old ones are ok. The best small engine is a briggs.

  • @Bigtrucker2007 briggs= total crap badly designed rubbish

  • @gilesnmortimer u smokin crack boy. wow u have no clue about motors. I will give u that new briggs are crap. the old ones run forever

  • I think those holes might be oil drainback holes. Do you still have the oil pan for this engine ?

  • those holes near the crank are probably cast, not machined, hence not smooth and perfect. It looks like they are there to allow oil to flow around the crankshaft bearings.

  • you wanna sell that crankshaft to me

  • @gilesnmortimer the new ones are shitty, but the old ones (like 70s 80s) are fucking bulletproof. i had a 1976 briggs 2 horse drained all the oil out filled the crankcase with water and gas and let it run. that thing ran for 2 hours before i gave up and brought it inside. the thing still to this day fires up and runs great.

  • @quakewarrior1 potATO POTATO THE REAL THING IS HOW WELL YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF AN ENGINE

  • true that man hands down, sad but true!!! honda small engines are amazing

  • with small engines i would rate honda first and the older briggs engines very close behind in second. honda engines just always seem to start on the first pull all the time. and i havent seen very many blown hondas so ya

  • agreed briggs=crap not like they used to be. a honda gc series is a light duty engine if you dont like them get a gx which is a commercial grade engine cause thats all i have and they last a lot longer than a briggs. its also how you treat them if they last or not.
