this was the greatest way to end the devils reign 1995 they won on home ice 2003 they won on home ice and this song just makes me want to cry great moments in history i was to young to fully enjoy
-
shouldve been the wild and devils wild deserved to go to the finals, the run they had
-
@sizzle949 of course he would, 10 times out of 10 no doubt, but he deserved to win the conn smythe
-
@ProductionsJoe Marty had 3 shutouts out of 4 wins in a Cup Final. That performance is legendary and definitely warranted the Conn Smythe. Like someone else said, I'm sure he would take the Cup any day of the week over the Conn Smythe, but there is no doubt he should have won that year.
-
@devilsfan964 I'm sure if you ask Marty, he'd take the Stanley Cup over the Conn Smythe any day.
-
@devilsfan964 Giguere was the only reason the Ducks came even close. He deserved it.
-
I'll have to admit I cried with Giguere when I saw him, that was probably the most bittersweet conn Smythe ever :/
-
still so mad that the goalie with 3 shut-outs in the stanley cup finals didnt win the conn-smythe
-
flyers...losers since 75

Seriously, I'm not even a Devils fan (Rangers fan, I come in peace here) but I cant imagine three songs i'd rather have playing after a championship than Its My Life, We Are The Champions, and Born To Run. Haha. I instantly played all 3 after the Super Bowl on Sunday.
I love how when the Yankees win championships its "New York New York" and when the Devils win championships its Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

2003 was a good year for New Jersey. The "Jersey Shore" didn't exist, the Nets made it back to the NBA Finals, the Devils won the Stanley Cup, and I remember being in that same arena for Michael Jordan's 2nd to last game in New Jersey. Great memories from my childhood.
