You taught me at band camp when I was little! I watched this video sooo many times my sophomore year to work on the same solo. Thanks:)

@ChsSaxQuartet I highly doubt your statement.

His vibrato is beautiful. Such a pretty tone.

my teacher is having me play this for a contest but i cant get the high g, so i've been playing an octave lower g. this is the first time i listened to a recording and heard the high g in there, and when he got there i crapped myself.

@saxmasterr5 Agreed on the nit, but he's young and by then he was pooped!

I love listening to this composition. I think Mr. Waroff does a good job. When I played it at State Contest, a) I had to memorize it and b) I played without accompaniment. I couldn't find a pianist within 50 miles who could play it. Every serious alto player should learn this one.

@enhsmusic: there are some very good high school players. not everybody is as bad as you may think. younger musicians are getting better by the generation. I have heard some amazing high school players.

I hate it when people (particularly younger musicians) post comments about how early they played the music. It's about the quality of the music, and I'm sure as they are middle school or early high school studens, it sounded amateur.
This was a quality recording, though. Great job.
