It is rooted in the inability of the Palestinian national movement to create any sort of framework that could reasonably support the building of a nation. They've got the national pride, and the national consciousness, but that's never enough.

The intellectual and moral laziness of the people who condemn Israel for defending itself is astounding. The Palestinians are victims of their Arab neighbors who not only refused the creation of a Palestinian state in '47 when this area was partitioned by the UN but have refused to take these people in as refugees. The Arab world has used Palestine to fight for the destruction of a legally created state so they can claim no responsibility for reigning in the murderous extremism of Hamas.

These so called leaders are nothing more than cowards that are selling out Canada's interests to the terrorist state of Israel. It is as if they are so logical about other international affairs, and then when it comes time to recognize the obvious terror that Israel levels against innocent civilians every day. The state of Israel is, as the Irish government said, out of control and acting beyond the rule of law. In Sweden the company that runs the light rail system for Israel lost a 3.9 billion Euro contract; Canadian companies must be made pay the price also for the support of the IDF-SS actions against the defenceless Palestinian people.

Israel refuses to allow Palestine to form a self-government. Israel broke the ceasefire. It claimed it never negotiated with Hamas yet it contradicts itself by alleging Hamas broke the agreed ceasefire that had been in place for 6 months! Those who refuse to demand an end to the blockade and violence are as guilty as the Israeli governmnet and are its violent fellow travellers. Shame on you.
