Let's not forget Nucleus, Thundermug, Steel River. When I was 17 I was in a band called Bliss, we opened for April Wine at Agincourt C.I.

A Canadian Classic !

Incredibly this was covered by a very young band in Chile in 1968...Los Sicodelicos, whose album is nothing special...and 'Gaslight' is definitely one of the best tracks on it

The UB is/was really great. This is the first time I listen to them but not the last. Thank you Youtube!!! There is an enormous musical treasure to discover. Listen for example to an unknown band called THE ZETTLERS and the tunes "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". I'm totally up in the sky!!!!!

What was on the B side of Gaslight? It's driving me crazy. I went to W.A. Porter.

@johnpark22 there's still oldies 1150 in hamilton, they revive the old toronto bands!

Rock 107.1 in Belleville plays this song all the time and it is a fantastic song! Took me a while to figure the lyrics out and get Google working for me. I think it's great that they play a classic CANADIAN song like this. I'll be looking for a CD of the band to add to my collection. If anyone has a reccomendation I'd love to hear it. Again - great song!!
Memories of dances at Uxbridge High. Please never remove this song. This is the music that is no longer played since the death of 1050 CHUM.

Saw them play a dance at our high school in '68 & they played this song - were they ever LOUD!
Buffalo49 2 years ago
Yeah, Buffalo49! We were loud all-right! Mike McKenna used to play his '59 Les Paul Sunburst through TWO Fender Twins hooked-up in Series! 200 Watts of
pure RMS Power! For-the-day it was as
good as it gets. I wouldn't want to play that loud today, but for the time it was the thing-to-do!

Hey Dave, what did you think of the Paupers. Your band was great i went to Cederbrae.
floormanron 2 years ago
Hey Floormanron! I drive by Cedarbrae every now & then & I remember. But it was a different time. Skip Prokop was a friend & I always respected his musical tastes. I gotta say tho' that The Paupers were special. Totally unique & unlike any band before or since!
