Inside San Jose's Tent City

In San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley, economic inequality can be seen from the sky. On a grassy open field near the San Jose airport, sits a homeless encampment of dozens of tents, and over a hundred people. City officials have stated they will be removing the camp, and the people, very soon. De-Bug talked to the community of residents about who they are, how they got there, and where they may be headed.

Why are we spending money 'cleaning up' encampments like this? We're just dispersing them; They all move along and find somewhere else to camp. Wait, maybe that's it! When they cluster up they become too visible. Blah. The problem is there. We're San Jose, not San Francisco. We can solve it. We don't have to accept homelessness and the solution has nothing to do with breaking up prominent encampments like this. We can do better.

Heres an idea for you San Jose citizens:

Turn the entire area into a low cost campground, with bathrooms and a covered community cooking area. Low cost housing for people who need it. Sanitary conditions so our open spaces do not become covered in human waste.

While were at it why not hand out glass pipes and choreboy copper pads for the needs of meth and crack smokers. Hey why not set up a nice vibrating bed for when one of these guys grabs a kid off the playground. Hey why not refrigerators for there beer. Oh yea, lets tax the guys working and struggling to pay property tax and sending there kids to school already streached to the limit so these guys can live free and do what the fuck they want.

just think how stupid your government does it's job when you have people living in fields of your greater Santa Clara county.. Sure is a shame for those Govt.worker's that can't for fill and do the job that they are paid for. Seem's to look like those in charge need to be replaced by someone who know's how to do the job.
