Horrible. Lousy tuning, and please tell Mr. Jack-off fat slobbering asshole to stay away from the microphone. Kill the birds, too.
Blech!

Haunting melody...thanks for sharing.

A wonderful aria. This could be a really nice demonstration of the reproducing grand if it had been tuned. Since most people have never seen a instrument like this, it would be of more interest if the camera would pan the inside of the piano and the roll movement.

Absolutely beautiful! I'm inspired to find the Duo-Art version.

The SF Opera opened last night with this wonderful performance - beautiful music, both orchestral with it's key change and the great singing. This aria was sung perfectly. This is perhaps the grandest of all French Grand Operas still being perofrmed....

A great piano transcription from an Operatic Aria - from Sampson & Delilah. In the Opera, Delilah sings this aria about how much she loves Samsom, simply from hearing the sound of his voice. The San Francisco Opera will open it's season this year with this wonderful Opera Samson & Delilah, by Camille Saint Saens, sung in French. This piano transcription is done by the amazing Edgar Fairchild (Milton Suskind by birth).
