@AmethystEyes i hate how they make them act so irrational and unwilling to listen and make them homicical instead. they mentioned heater blankets. don't you think it would've made sense if he had actually listened to them? this was a sad episode, but him sucking up the heat from a heated pool turning it into ice was an awesome effect. if you were him, and it was totally hopeless even with heater blankets, wouldn't you rather kill yourself rather than hurt anymore people?

@prawnkoktail - the Outer Limits episode you're looking for is The Heist, broadcast in 1996, there's a character called Bethany Wallace played by Katya Gardner, who is frozen by an alien and turned into an ice statue that then slowly shatters into pieces.

By the way, season 2 episode 10 of Warehouse 13 features a woman turned into glass and then smashed to pieces, in case you're interested!
