  • terrible backhand!

  • one of the weaker forehands on tour. He puts lots of spin on the balls but they are too short and slow. He gotta refrain from using too much spin.

  • @nalgasnad

He may be with Federer the only player who never left the top ten since 2001, but it's easily arguable that he may not have done justice to his skills. Nadal and Federer are surely though to beat, but he could do better than quarter finals in GS.

Nonetheless, I must give him that he plays tremendously good tennis and that he brought us an epic duel along with his arch rival - or as he would say, the player whom he loves the most to hate - at Wimbledon.

  • Cool. Thanks for quoting the dictionary for me. I'm dehydrated. Time to replenish my fluent. I'll be back...

  • No my friend, the exact word is fluent.

    Here's a line from a dictionary:

easy; graceful: fluent motion; fluent curves.

You read well, it does describe an action in a dictionary.

It is usually used to describ a speech, but it isn't a mistake to use the same idea for a movement. Rarely used does not mean wrong.

I would take his before many others because he can rush it very easily from various stance. He simply does not have the game to exploit well this power, but it is quite good.

  • Assuming you meant "fluid," I've never heard anybody else describe Andy's forehand as fluid. He has a big forehand, but none of his strokes are very pretty. He still has one of the biggest forehand and serve combos in tennis, but I don't think his forehand is exceptional among the top 15.

  • I love his forehand.

Very clean and fluent motion. Not Federer, but yet way better than most of the top 15 pros.

Powerful and there's hell of bite on it.

  • pssh andy rocks lol

  • you said it brother

  • he pushes the line when it comes to hitting the ball late. any later and he wont be able to hit half as good. should take a page from agassi and hit on the rise.
