the heart asks pleasure first (heard in the movie "the piano") composed by michael nyman.

I have played the piano for 1 year and 3 months now so i felt it was time to record this, im sorry for the few errors :) This is one of my favorite songs on the piano, i really like it beacuse it's so emotional and moving.

I would really appreciate if you would like to rate and comment :)

Enjoy!

  • hey great cover , i wanna ask u a question, i want to buy this piano but i am not sure if it produces a great piano voice , what i hear in this video is perfect piano voice for me, but i want to know if what i hear just comes out of the instrument ? or u have used other effects on the sound ?

  • @hitman4777 hello and thank you :) It's a great piano, i have connected the piano through my external sound card to my home theatre system while playing, and when recording i connect it to the "line in" on my soundcard. See my video canon in D or newer and it's even better sound! (new soundcard) Best regards

  • I'm hoping this is one of those songs that sounds hard but actually isn't! because I am planning to start learning it

Great job though! And nice keyboard...I have the same one =)

  • @sladevi thank you :)

It's all a matter of pratice! I wish you the best of luck

  • you're great.. i love how you play the song..and you are right:

the song is very emotional and moving

but the song won't work if the pianist doesn't play it that way (without feeling)...

but your piano playing is with so much feeling...and that makes the song even more beautiful =) keep up the good work^^

  • @jottamartins right on! it's amazing how many people play this with no spirit! even mychael nyman himself! (heard him play live once and was soooo disapointed, totally lifeless interpretation)

  • @jalamutka ditto! i only started piano lessons about 5 months ago and am already playing this. It looks very hard at first cos one hand is doing something completely at ods with the other but if you're patient and just play over and over with them separately they mix up perfect afterwards.

  • This is my fav theme on piano. I learned it time ago, but i need the perfect atmosphere to play it.

Simply amazing : ) Thanks for these minutes.

  • it's beautiful, you play it very well, from the heart, i love it. Strings no need, you re good without

  • slavedi : it's a hard one

  • I do not play the piano, but that doesn't mean that I can't tell if someone is hammering the keys, rushing trough the music, or if someone is just playing one note after another with no feeling. There are several covers of this piece on you tube, but you my friend just made my day. The way you slow down and take your time to give the emotional intensity to the notes is absolutely breath taking. Keep up the good work

  • Yamaha DGX 630 / 640 Rules :) !

  • I envy you. Awesome.

  • Finally I recommend to combing the voices while playing the electric piano, for example the DX modern E.piano combined with a Detoned Cp80, or Cool Galaxy E.Piano with the Detoned Cp80 or the Midi Piano, with a Chorus graduated modulation, the feeling it´s sensational! so if you are not looking for a workstation, because you only need the on stage or recording efective and high quality performance approach and feeling, for almost $ 1,000 that´s a reasonable price, you can get it. see you round!

  • I didn´t mentioned that this keyboard has a weighted 88 keyboard to play both classical and contemporary music and have a very realistic acoustic grand piano nice feeling approach while playing, and it has a recording system that allows to record 5 tracks per sation, so it´s a very helpfull tool if you hace a recording software or sequencer program in your computer, I like to play the grand piano sound dual voice, modifying the reverb level expanding it, it sounds so amazingly acoustic and warm!
