From an altitude of 218 miles, the International Space Station flies over Hurricane Earl as it churns as a Category 4 storm northeast of Puerto Rico near the northern Antilles islands. The station's Progress 37 cargo craft and the Soyuz TMA-18 spacecraft are in the foreground.

    So this was shot from under the planet? or just the way the feed sent it? It is amazing either way. I went to the flicker of one of the astronauts live from space twitter accounts and the pictures of hurricanes and all are absolutely mind boggling. :)

  • its the satelites ther upside down that big white spot on the bottom is the hurricane ... and its around the new york area so might be a few fatalities there well here cause i live in ny as if bronx werent bad enough
