Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon beats out all of these easily
there is so much emotion in the soundtrack
its just flat out the best one.
and it was the winner in 2000

How could anything be over Requiem For a Dream? I my opinion it is the best score of that year and probably of the decade.

I enjoy your posts.
This one, I disagree with, however. As great as the score for GLADIATOR is, I feel CHOCOLAT deserved it. My own personal ratings score includes listenability. I can put CHOCOLAT on to listen to and it always seems to set just the right mood. GLADIATOR is much too ominous for my personal taste. (It sure is thrilling, though.). Rachel Portman's CHOCOLAT is my winner. Keep the posts coming!
