At the moment, the ATi Radeon HD 3870X2 is the most powerful card on the market.

zombie, 20+fps at what reso, cuz my 8800gt evga ko can also do very high and get about 30 lol, thats only on 1024x768 though, so it's all in the reso son. Btw i have a qx9650, also awesome :P.
I don't get this. People keep saying the 8800 ultra is much better than the 3870 x2. How can it be? I bought the 3870 x2 because I was sure it's faster than the 8800 ultra. Am I wrong? Is there anyone who can say something without saying I THINK? I don't need people to say I think. I need people to say I have FACTS that this card is faster than that one etc. Any help?

I'd say they are of comparible speeds...however a couple things...
The ATI card takes two cores versus the Ultra just using one. There are some good points for the ATI card but I can't remember them offhand. ATI's dual-GPU solution is much more elegant then nVidia's 9800GX2 I think.

So what do you do with those 8pin power connectors? I dont have one on my PSU I have only 2x 6pin
aleksankazakov 4 years ago
The 8800GTX/Ultras for example require both a 6pin and an 8pin connector I think. I'm not completely sure though I know some cards require both.

ye.... , bt what if I dont have 8pin connector would they include the cable that converts 6pin into 8 pin or 2x mon cables to one 8 pin ?

These are the sort of things manuals can help you out with. I don't own one so I don't have a manual for such a setup.
