Final project for my 3D Design class: "The Device," a device that has to solve any problem posed by an annoying or hostile source with a creative solution, and we were allowed to use absolutely any medium we want. I took a desk lamp I never used, spray painted it orange, then took the bottom of a DVD+R disc holder, a round tupperware cover, and cloth from a plain disposable shirt I had. The bottom of the disc holder pretty much fits perfectly on the the light-bulb end of the lamp, I almost didn't have to glue it. Well, I couldn't glue it anyway, lol. It kinda withstood punches at first but then it just kept getting looser. I just came back from showing to class as I edit this and the students cracked the hell up. I don't know how Prof. Stromberg felt, though, he seemed pretty weirded out. Probably shouldn't have relied on internet culture too much.
I asked my wacky sophomore year roommate Joey if he could voice act for my script, and also enlisted the help of my good friends Matt (acting) and Jennifer (holding the camera xD). Pretty much all the images were acquired through Google image searches, and I hurriedly Photoshopped some of them. xD
I used Adobe AfterEffects for editing and Adobe Premiere for compiling the video and sound (due to some issues). Sorry the video is small, somehow I ended up saving a 480p video that I later compiled as a 720p video. O_o Bleh, too lazy to re-upload. x_x
Oh God....Joey and JD...what have you created...
lol...I like it.
