  • Jon Shchaffer has the most solid riffs in history, he nails them with deadly precision

  • The way this song starts on the album is amazing too. It's got a sort of sitar effect going on, then it goes into the main riff. It's a shame they cut it off for the video.

Stormrider is without a doubt the coolest and darkest album ever made.

  • @DieSchwartzmann The other way around... it goes right into the main riff and it sounds better than the album version.

  • Grab the audio from this song at tubepull doht cohm.

  • If Iced Earth Stayed like this i would listen to them all the time

    badass track/album

  • This video post is an optical transfer, not always the best quality, but better than nothing.

  • can anyone tell me what guitar is at 0:10 please????

  • Also, 1:51 no mistaking it. That's the dungeon theme from Super Mario Land. No coincidence.

  • So that's what John Greely looks like. I've been curious ever since I became an Iced Earth fan about a year and a half ago or so. Google resulted in no images whatsoever.

Anyway, I prefer the Days of Purgatory version, Barlow > Greely. The only song I like on Night of the Stromrider better than the ones on Days of Purgatory is Stormrider, and Greely doesn't even sing that, Schaffer does.

Google resulted in no images of Gene Adam either. Anybody have a link to a video or pics of Gene Adam?

  • John Greeley!!!!

  • awesome video and song!

  • I think it's partly live, you can hear three guitars at the same time, probably the rhythm guitar track from the album. I believe there are also some album vocals, but as you said, some of it sounds live. No matter what - it's great!
