Documentario realizzato a maggio 2010 a Brescia nella Chiesa Evangelica Pentecostale "Gesù Vive". Il nostro progetto intendeva documentare una realtà presente sul nostro territorio della quale molti di noi non sono a conoscenza, la chiesa ed in particolare la sua funzione all'interno della comunità africana di Brescia.
Attraverso il nostro documentario, volevamo suscitare curiosità nello spettatore verso l'argomento ed informarlo, oltre che "scattare una fotografia" su una religione molto diversa dalla nostra.
Lungi da inquadrare la cosa da un punto di vista prettamente religioso, l'obiettivo su cui abbiamo focalizzato la nostra attenzione, è stato quello di rendere il colore ed il calore umano della comunità africana che si ritrova la domenica in chiesa, non solo per pregare in senso stretto, ma anche per ballare e cantare insieme.
Lo stile è prevalentemente documentaristico/sociale, molto spazio è lasciato alla musica e nello specifico al coro.
Il nostro intento è stato di catturare l'energia del reverendo e dei pastori durante la funzione ed insieme l'entusiasmo e la partecipazione dei credenti.
La messa è intervalla da spezzoni di interviste realizzate sempre in quei giorni al Bishop Alfred Mensah, ed ai pastori Clement Owuso e Frederic Ansa che ringraziamo ancora assieme a tutti i fedeli ghanesi e nigeriani della chiesa "Jesus is alive".
La messa è celebrata in inglese ed in ghanese, le interviste sono in inglese ma sottotitolate in italiano.

A documentary made in May 2010, at the Evangelical Pentecostal Church "Jesus Lives" in Brescia. Our project aims to document a reality on our territory of which many of us are not aware, the church and in particular its role within the African community of Brescia.
Through our documentary, we wanted to arouse curiosity in the viewer towards the subject and inform as well as "taking a snapshot" on a very different religion from ours.
Far from framing it by a religious standpoint, the goal on which we focused our attention, was to make the color and the warmth of the African community that can be found on Sundays in church, not only to pray in the strict sense, but also to dance and sing together.
The style is mainly documentary, a lot of space is left to music and specifically to the choir.
Our intent was to capture the energy of the Reverend and shepherds during the function and also the enthusiasm and participation of the believers.
The development is interspersed with clips from interviews conducted always in those days at the Bishop Alfred Mensah, and the pastors Frederic Clement and Owuso Ansa together again we thank all the faithful of the Ghanaian and Nigerian church, "Jesus is alive."
Mass is celebrated in English and Ghanaian, the interviews are in English and subtitled in Italian.
