For those who wants to rememorate this racing (Formula One and Stock Car) game that was Speed Haste developed by NoriaWorks Entertainment but published by WizardWorks Software (North America), Midas Interactive Entertainement Ltd. (United Kingdom) and Friendware (Europe) in 1995.

(I was forced to used Gravis Ultrasound instead of Sound Blaster Pro 2 as the echo was unfortunatly bugging in Dosbox, but GUS wasn't having any problems.)

  • Ahhh, nice memories, I have this game. It's a bitch to run in DosBox though because of some nasty sound issues.

By the way, NoriaWorks also did some kind of erotic tetris before working on Speed Haste.

  • @StormSpirit86 Yes for the sound issue, set it to gravis ultrasound and be sure to set the game cycle to max! :)

  • Good graphics for a dos game. No slowdows either. :)

  • @TommyDaGreat Yes, the graphic was that much good, that when i does the first video it was pounding 2Gbytes instead of the usual 150 Mbytes... So i've converted my videos to pound 431 Mbytes instead, quality is not as good as seen in game, but it show a preview of what it look like! :)

Yes about the slowdown, on my ancient Core 2 Duo it was having some slowdown if i was setting with these detail on SVGA, but since i've a i5 750 i don't have any slowdown anymore! :)
