There are times we simply have to do what we feel is right. For whatever reason... I _had_ to record this first of roughly _60_ letters that J. Allen Boone wrote to his dear friend, Strongheart, after his friend's death when a klieg fell over on him when shooting his final film. Letters that Boone writes to Strongheart, "Out Yonder," of how this Enlightened Being, this Bodhisatvah, might feel about a walk through the California desert, or through a Buddhist monastery in Japan, or a jungle in India... or watching humans ignore beautiful life passing them by on a train from New York to Los Angeles.

I _had_ to record this... in honor of Strongheart, the first canine movie-star, (even before Rin Tin Tin,) for those who loved him, (including Boone,) and for my own dear canine companions, to whom I owe my very life... my sanity... and my strength.

If there were a "second coming..." I would not be surprised to find that that spirit was embodied within the Qualities found patiently... quietly... humbly... within the average canine-being.

("Letters To Strongheart" is still in print, and may be purchased from stores such as Amazon.com. I can not recommend this book highly enough.)
