The Cyclone ride in this video was taken from the middle car, which, believe it or not, makes a better video than the front car. The middle car gives the steadiest shot (the front and rear cars jump the track a lot), and juxtaposes the tracks with the cars and other riders - making it feel like you're actually riding the oldest and scariest rollercoaster in the world.

  • Oh the Cyclone. You step in and take one of those comfortable, deeply-padded seats and wonder why they're so deeply-padded and comfortable, with that iron grab bar just in front of your knees and that heavy roll of foam rubber around the lap bar. Then you get hoisted up to the top and afterward slide completely across the seat in each direction at least twice, bashing your shoulders, butt, and knees, and . . .

Now you know why each seat has more padding than the rubber rooms at Bellevue.

  • LMFAO I rode in the first and middle, i like them both.(: But for the camera...i'd say middle.(:

  • It was built in the 20s and if people didn't like it, it wouldn't still be standing..

  • Hem now that you mention it, there is a big difference b/w the front and middle car.

the last time i rode this coaster, I sat in the middle car and found it more stable than today when i sat in the first car. No wonder i had a harder time stablizing the camera today than i did last time.

  • Man how long ago did you ride it?

Today it was $8 to ride, then $5 reride.

  • it was built in 1927 so it makes it 81 years old. and I just rode it to day and it runs just fine. Shaky as hell, but what wooden coaster isn't?

  • theres no place like NY

  • i hate this ride it can falll any mintute i been on it in massachuesetts i will neer ride the one here in brooklyn kuz i can fall any mintute its over a 100 years i think

  • Wow...I've got to get up to Coney Island one day and ride their Cyclone.

I live in Georgia and we have our own version, but (unless my memory's being an ass here) it seems like they changed some things about it.

Six Flags Over Georgia has two wooden coasters, the Georgia Cyclone (modeled after this of course) and The Great American Scream Machine.
