Trivandrum, Alleppey & the backwaters

I flew from Delhi to Trivandrum. Here starts my trip in South India.
This sequence starts in Trivandrum, with the Indian Coffee House, a helicoidal restaurant (this architectural concept is really cool).
- Around the trivandrum temple, people come from all accross Kerala to do a pilgrimage there. A true exotic scene. Around, local food specialities are being sold like snacks, banana chips and coconut oil (for the hairs).
- Kovalam beach: a touristic beach resort. 2 sequences: A sunset and a local hindu ceremony (looks like it's coming from the Azteques).
- The backwaters: Motorised boat for tourists from Kollam to Alleppey. That day an almost full solar eclipse happened at lunch time.
- A canoe boat tour around Alleppey. Really quiet but the canals around Alleppey have been turned into a house boats garage.
- While going for a bird natural sanctuary, a german guitarist and an indian flutist have improvised a jam session.
- The next shots were taken in the bus going back from the birds sanctuary. There were many shows like the one being shown. There was also a big flower market in Kottayam.
- Last sequence in the public beach of alleppey: a public traditional storytelling. Really picturesque but the speakers were incredibly loud.
