@ffffleet Evangelion is about loneliness. All the characters have very diverse personalities, but once you get to know them better you realize that they're all hollow and lonely people. It's that brutal honesty about how people really are behind their masks that makes it so good.
I don't think it's any more violent, sexually charged and depressing than the bible. That's what I'll never understand about Christians and their double standards.
