my second homemade flying v was difficult. Much faster build than the first, but lots of material problems (incompatible paints, funky wood, etc.) This one was made strictly as a METAL guitar, which I think I totally accomplished; I was also trying to step my skills up a notch, while making the functionality of the guitar more simple. Prepare to have your face melted.

  • I like that TAPS t shirt ;)

  • this is sick! couple of questions. i'm building my own gibson les paul and dont know anything about the binding on the neck or body. second did you build the fretboard by scratch? if so how did you get all the frets in the correct position? lastly did you have to route out the inlays and such?

  • so you cut out the shape then glue it all together?

  • Cool thanks man, the site looks to be a good resource!

  • @chaosincreation I bought a piece of mother of pearl from stew-mac and carved it myself.

  • Where did you get the inlay?

  • Where did you get the inlay?

  • @mikejsloat How much would you sell a guitar like this for?

  • @mikejsloat its cool man, the only thing i found kinda weird is the height of the fretboard to the body, i think is to high,. but overall i like it, i would like to study or something like that for being a luthier.
