"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

John Stuart Mill
English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

  • A true hero. It's a shame how today "dark and edgy" "writers" turn Captain America into a parody of himself.

Here, in my country, if you stand for that type of values, you are agant of the CIA, a pig, enemy of the people. That doesn't surprise me, Argentina help the Nazis, and later help the USSR.

  • I agree: it's like the writers need to give someone an excuse to feel good about Captain America. I know that my country isn't always the best in the world and that there's a lot wrong with it, but Captain America has always stood for what IS right about it. Why make excuses?

  • Captain America punched Hitler in the face. What have you done lately?

  • .and definatley not for the survival of others

  • tell me whats right about your country?.i want to know. In my world America lives a staged life on a film set.not a real world. All their efforts in the past have been calculated for their own gains and never for their own survival.

  • sometimes i feel that we need to go back to the values for which Captain America stood for, and fought for...

  • But your defeat the Axis, later the URSS. Your country have a lot of good things, but in these times is trendy tbashing America. In my country is a national sports blame on others on fault.

Off topic, how are the writng stuff? Are you already writing chapters or focused on the hero's background?
