I don't understand why people say the story was messy. It wasn't messy it was one of the damn best ones however it did leave out alot of awesome things I would have liked to known. Still this an awesome rpg epic like Final fantasy 7.

@failbot2008 I don't see how they connect. They both deal with time/ time paradoxes, but other than that, they both seem to be really different.

A year later... I forgot I left that comment. The storyline, after playing Chrono Trigger, makes a lot more sense. And still, the musical score is fantastic. Some people say that the two are not related, but in all actuality, the stories intertwine perfectly.
Story = EPIC
Gameplay = Pretty damn good. The element system is revolutionary, and there isn't another like it. It's fully customizable, and it puts you in control. The musical score is phenomenal, and sends shivers down my spine each time I listen to a piece like these two. the Cutscenes are amazing in their own right, I have played this game over and over again, and don't ever intend to put it down. ^_^

Nothing needs to be changed about it. Visuals isn't the focus for rpgs really, its the story and music, while a story is good, the mood isn't set for it without the right music to set it. without it, the game wouldn't be complete. with the proper music it aloows you to feel what your characters feel. isn't that all there needs to be?
