1967 Crown Fire Engine doing a light test, note the lights arent very effective this on this appliance as it is about 40 year old.

  • I'm sorry for taking issue. If this engine were in service, the light would be dealt with immediately, or taken out of service. This is not a accurate depiction of an inservice Crown from any department I have been associated with.

  • @comstat1 Nah,the beacon motor is fine.The beacon is normally a 4 lamp beacon so the flash is less than normal because there is only 2 lamps revolving.I'm not understanding why you don't see this as accurate.I've seen plenty of Crowns with this appearence in their initial in-service years.

  • I believe your gumball light motor needs some cleaning and lubrication. The light would normally run much faster, and usually the left red cowl light would be the California required steady burning red light and the right would normally have a flasher attached. One other possibility could be, the engine is not running and you are using a battery which is not fully charged. This is not a very accurately depicted representation of emergency lighting on a Crown, and I would agree not effective
