  • i heard this poem first in the film invictus about nelson mandela but when i heard it i realized that this poem is a rally call to life a call to say live happy and free!

  • @sharky922 In the film, the words of the poem are recited incorrectly by Morgan Freeman. What he says is "Under the bludgeonings of fate" - instead of "chance" which makes no sense and doesn't rhyme with "circumstance" anyway. If Mandela was inspired by this poem then he would know it. That was a serious blunder. They should fire the Writer, the Continuity Girl and the Director.
