Go for the Gold: San Gabriel Valley Special Olympics

August is Social Activism Month with the Fiesta Movement!

In memory of Eunice Kennedy Shriver (1921-2009), I chose to work with the Special Olympics. Rick and I attended a local bowling event. Every Saturday 100-150 people with intellectual disabilities bowl together. It is an amazing thing to witness and to be a part of - community, support, encouragement and love abound.

As part of the mission, a $500 donation will be given to the Southern California Special Olympics. Thank you to Ford and Mission Control for making this possible.
