1. Lemonade for Haiti: While we here in the U.S. have, for the most part, the best emergency care and social services available, in other parts of the world, thats just not the case.
Haiti has had its share of political problems, and being located in the Caribbean makes it a hot spot for tropical storms. All this is contributing to extreme poverty there.
According to one study, 80 percent of Haitians live on less than $2 dollars a day. Theres no doubt about it; help is always needed. And one family in Sheepshead Bay is lending a hand. Its raising money for children in Haiti by selling lemonade.
