@gidgetsdigitalgadget yes I did hear "Devil In the Kitchen" and that's why I feel so bad for you... you obviously have this idea in your head that you are a great musician but anyone who listens to your music can see that it's very amateurish. as a musician I'm sorry to tell you this because it might hurt, but your music is not creative or compelling at all. that's why you're so obsessed with Ed, pure jealousy.... and "obsessed" is the only accurate word for it.

Nice town, wonderfull.
I love those medieval houses.
Sorry for the off-topic respond.

i would totally buy one of his albums

Soul food to go. Lucky, lucky streets of Chester and the people who get a chance to nourish their spirits there. As Joni said, playing real good for free.

@johnbriggs1129 : "if you've seen one gaelic fiddler you've seen them all" ??? Really? That's where you're wrong mister.
It's not 'more notes per minute', it's the quality and the ability to play exciting music rather than a slow-coach playing elevator music that doesn't add up musically even.
Listen to other vids and you'll hear pieces of different speeds than devil in the kitchen. Beautiful airs and other tunes.
Gaelic players differ greatly. Ed isn't one thing nor another. It's pure shite.

@vjd55 how can you interpret my critique as 'jealousy'? Didn't you hear the playing on "Devil in the Kitchen". I don't mean to blow my own horn (goodness knows if I could, I WOULD) but I think you'll find more people listen to "ASHLEY MACISAAC" than a perisher like Ed the busker!
If anyone would be jealous it would be the likes of him, who would turn green with envy at my playing.
Just look at the record sales for "ASHLEY MACISAAC", and my shows worldwide (huge ticket sales: HUGE!).

@skmit07 As you said, they are just walking by. They are clearly not fucking robots.

why don't all that like Ed respond to obnoxious gidgetdigitalgadget & tell him, then he'll either get the massage or suffer response overload. I have seen his youtube performance of 'devil in the kitchen' & 'sleeping maggie' & it's ok, as long as you like Gaelic music but if you've seen one gaelic fiddler you've seen them all. He seems to think that the more notes played per minute makes for a better player. We should put a comment on his youtube channel directing viewers to a good fiddler, Ed

i wonder what looper he uses. anyone know?

@gidgetsdigitalgadget it must really suck to be jealous of someone else's artistry. maybe someday you'll get over it.
How can people just walk by? What are they? Fucking robots?

@gidgetsdigitalgadget Absolute nonsense! You do not have to be educated in music before it can 'touch' you. Before I could ever play an instrument I felt the emotions in many songs. I put it you that taste and emotion are purely subjective and personal and that what moves someone else won't move you. That does not invalidate their love of the piece. Assuming you are not talented painter by your own logic that would mean you have no entitlement to be moved by a work of art.
