How to hacktivate jailbreak and unlock an Iphone 3G with 3.1.2 using Blackra1n Blacksn0w

This took a freshly restored iphone running firmware 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07 (the newest) and activated it so itunes could sync, jailbroke it so I can add my own apps, and unlocked it so I can use a T-mobile SIM for phone function.

For no WIfi, try to reset network settings first, then restart the phone. Still no wifi? Install Ultrasn0w on top of blacksn0w.

I did this all in the first take to show the learning curve as I did this, in case someone gets stuck in the same place. I have never used software by Geohot before, and this was still easy to do!

Hey there, this happened exactly a year ago, I accidently upgraded my iphone 2g's OS to 3.1.2 using itunes ( got the iphone frm the states bt i live in new zealand) and became unlocked again. Now i cant use it , is there a way to unlock it? I've used blackrain but still doesnt work for me.

@JackDooner should, I went to england this summer and popped in a "Talk Mobile" card and it was connected to O2 towers the whole time, with data.

this does not work. every time i make it rain it says your jailbreak has been done wait for it to reboot but it never reboots

@tinimanproduction1 only thing I can think of is you havent installed blacksn0w right or maybe need to reset network settings? On my second iphone I went through trying everything and then realized I was forgetting to put blacksn0w on.

WHOA WHOA WHOA that was long ago. I found a way just other way than this one.

You know the pop-up redsn0w and IPSW file, right? You can do that without iTunes. LITERALLY.

Connect iPhone then click redsn0w then browse file for IPSW file then click iPad Baseband and whatever you need including Cydia then click next then

you TURN OFF your iPhone then do the process like pressing buttons then pray that it works on your iPhone.

Your good to go! OH, put URL from ultrasn0w too

i clicked on 'blackra1n.exe' from download tab then it appears with problems saying that i dont have ASL.dl so what do i do? I couldnt hackivate it.

Whenever i put in my SIM card, it goes back like normal, like i didn't even use blackra1n...help?
