  • Great playing, but too fast.

  • Great playing for sure, but "too fast?" That is a matter of opinion, and one usually expressed by piano players that can't play very fast.

  • You could be right, but Scott Joplin himself is quoted as saying, "It is never right to play ragtime fast." If you're looking for authenticity, I think it pays to pay attention to the King of Ragtime, don't you?

  • to be nit-picky, I spotted some tempo issues, but really, the whole performance is superb, especially the trio variation, with the nice execution of those triplets... that's tough to play this so cleanly!
