Did you try baking the PS3s motherboard in the oven rather than a heat gun?

Can I use an analogue volt meter to test this?

Don't you have to test the PSU under load?

have you tried liquid flux before heating up the gpu and cpu?

i had the same thing happen to me i found it to be the power suply

I did all the same things too. I am going to try using the tester so I know if I have to buy a new power supply.

@StygianSiara1221 My ps3 is mest up when i play for like 30min it automatically shuts down, Do you have any idea of why its doing that

@52779able PS I read on iFixit that if the fan doesn't spin before the YLOD it's a power supply fault.
