Einstein Growls when the Kitchen Rug is picked up

Einstein doesn't like the rug in front of the kitchen sink to be picked up. I forgot one day and got this on camera. This is not an aggressive growl, (although it does sound like it!) generally it is a sound they make when nervous. It's the only way they have of showing us they are scared. Pretty impressive to say the least!
(This is not the famous "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet Pet Stars. The only things they have in common is the name, good looks, and the desire to entertain humans!)

I enjoy watching Einstein's videos a lot!! She is so cute, funny and amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing them. May I ask you something? How do you know if these "big parrots" are male or female? I have one and we have always thought it's a "girl" but we are not sure of that. I hope you can give me some advice. Thank you =)

@magaliveangel You will need to go to an Avian Vet and get a DNA test. They will draw some blood to do the test. Search "Parrot DNA sexing" for more info.

@VinnyG253 It's true, Einstein doesn't like her surrounding to change! Parrots get very used to things being a certain way. However, we have had this rug forever and she has always reacted this way. In fact when I buy a replacement I have to buy the same kind. I have 2 in the closet to use in the future. And I am always shopping for ones that look like this one!

Our Maxi Pionus does the same thing with pillows! I had bought my mom a pillow for christmas without really thinking about it when my mom opened it all hell broke loose. About a week later she got to the pillow and attacked it. :P
