"Epic Holiday" is the fourth and final extended story of characters that make brief appearances in the feature film L)VE.

"The vignettes are not just character back-stories, but that each one represents some of the more pertinent themes explored in the film: communication, isolation, relationship, and fate vs destiny. Which one explores what, is up to the viewer..." -William Eubank, Writer and Director

I think that maybe this is about regret. Where we see the former version of himself, a mirror image 50 years in the past I think that perhaps he never took that trip to the lake bed for his epic holiday and now with brain cancer all he has left is to sit on the bike in the garage and wish he had gone...to make it up to himself he passes the goggles to the next generation.

In the beginning of the video, the gentleman describes how, at times, you are not in control of your own life - events can take place which you can neither stop nor alter.

In his case, I believe he is diagnosed with cancer or a brain tumor (which he can't control), and is now riding his motorcycle to feel rejuvenated - to make his life seem better. Although he cannot cure himself, he can certainly do something to experience happiness once more.

    Hope this helps =]

  • Can someone tell me what kind of Triumph is that bike please? thanks a lot!

  • @IFAMadison Love your comment. My mother is really picky about music and never understood my loyalty as a fan to Tom and AVA in the past. I loaded all of their music on her iPod and now she can't get enough. They're so different, but they can reach all ages....it's nice.

  • @lovelike182rockets Not the first time AVA has brought me to tears; only band my entire family has seen live (me-dad, my wife, son and two adopted daughters) and the only one we can all routinely enjoy together (very diversified interests in said family clan); ahead of their time... but not so much to gain enough of a following to keep this awesome art-form going, we can hope.

  • @twofive25 It was a reenactment at a VA hospital, but the guy brought his real-life scans. It still works.

  • @lovelike182rockets not only you , dude

  • The vignette is about the path that inspiration travels on its journey through our lives and the lives we influence and touch deeply. Brid has a connection with racing that he passes down to a generation after his own, and recalls the times of his life where he himself had been inspired in much the same way, and through this, he feels alive when others without such experiences would feel sorrow with the situation he is given, and was "Along for the ride."
