Yale Cordage makes the highest dielectric-strength rope commercially available. An eight-strand Olefinic plaited-rope construction that is nubby, providing excellent grip. Hy-Dee Brait is spliced easily, and it wont twist or hockle in use. The Yale exclusive Aralube™ dielectric treatment helps the rope retain its excellent dielectric characteristics, even when the rope has become wet. Hy-Dee Brait is excellent for hand lines, block lines and stringing lines where high dielectric-strength is valued. This video demonstrates the strength retention of the Yale Cordage High Dielectric (Hy-Dee) rope compared to its generic-brand cousin after being soaked in tap water for 15 minutes, and then subjected to 125,000 volts.
