Its probably been said elsewhere, but there ISN"T more detail on the resin cast, you can merely see the detial more clearly because the model is matt and not relective like the metal cast. Stand the two casts side by side having given them both an undercoat, you will not see the difference ,except of course that the resin will be full of air bubbles because the casting crew seemingly don't know how to decompress their moulds.

It goes without saying that I dislike their approach to resin.

Finecast is rubbish.

Air bubbles, way too much flash and some of the finer detail is flooded with resin.

@shadowynne i live in aus so i know all about postage and i feel for u man i know alot of people who have not been getting good models even third or fourth time round i was just trying to comment abvout my experience with finecart i have a box of genestealers which are complely munted and gw woulnt replace them it took 2 weeks of convincing for thrm to give me a new box so i know how frustrating it can be but just keep trying and u will succeed eventually

@shadowynne The fuck? My comment is 8 months old so obviously they wouldn't be giving out miniatures for free anymore. If they are still having issues with FC at this stage then they really have screwed up. I am currently not actively collecting GW miniatures so I don't know how the current quality is. I can say however that GW miniatures are in general very good quality compared to most other miniatures. The price is the main thing putting people off ATM, including me.
