The Orwell Prize 2010 opened for submissions on 29th October 2009. The evening celebrating the launch was structured around the question 'What Next for Burma?', marking the 75th anniversary of the first publication of George Orwell's 'Burmese Days'. Jean Seaton (Director of the Prize) introduces the first of the discussion panellists, Derek Tonkin, who gives his take on Burma. Derek is a former British ambassador to Vietnam, Thailand and Laos and the founder of Network Myanmar (http://www.networkmyanmar.org/).
