A Loss of Balance - Part One

The first of two parts.

A short film about a heroin addicted neo-Nazi who falls in love with a beautiful Asian woman. He must come to grips with his addiction, his racist buddies, and his girlfriend's best interest, all while seemingly being mocked by a late night real estate infomercial. The soundtrack is provided by Tucson punk bands The Elemenopees and Good Talk Russ.

I did see Requiem for a Dream, and the game show host that she gets confused with reality was definitely an influence. I was worried that people might make the same connection that you did! I guess my fears were well founded. I wrote the script without realising the influence, but then, after a week or two remembered "Wasn't there something like this in Requiem for a Dream?" So yeah, it was ripped off but not outright intentionally. If you were a lawyer, you'd definitely have a case. You got me!
