Embalming and Mummifying are different, they both preserve the body but mummification lasts longer.

we also need Stephen Sommers back who has the key to the family adventure type of movie. For me The Mummy is the only movie on par with the Indiana Johnes and it has even better music. Jerry Goldsmith is more profound and complex composer than John Williams. The other composers even sau to fear him because he uses some strange sounds and synthesizers. Also- you just can't whistle a Goldsmith song- it's way to rich and deep ;)

Depends on what you see as a mummy. Mummy's are preserved ancient Egyptian body's. The mummy's your thinking of are preserved but not as good as the Egyptian mummy's nor are they from Egypt so there for they are not really mummy's just dead body's. Mummy's are also said to come back to life but the Egyptians were the only ones to believe that.

Exactly. I was only interested in the first two because I loved Egypt. But China? Not interesting, unfortunately. They had to ditch all the Egyptian characters...Imhotep, Ardeth, Anaksunamun. And they also had to ditch Rachel who didn't want to have to fly half way around the world to China in order to film. WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST KEEP IT SET IN EGYPT? >_>
