This is the last half of a 19-minute documentary I made about the Gay Pride Parade which took place in the middle of downtown Seattle, and in the Seattle Center, on June 28, 2009.

The Parade is a yearly celebration of the birth of the modern gay and lesbian liberation movement. It also marks progress in attaining civil rights, and the gaining of equal treatment for all citizens.

All financial and social segments of society, all religions, races, and genders are represented by marchers as well as by the some 100,000 people attending.

This cross-section of humanity is so diverse that it is almost incomprehensible. The closest we get to understand this mixture is through the symbolic use of all the colors in the rainbow; the rainbow flags.

In part 1 of "Rainbow Flags," at least 10 marchers were asked "Why are you in the parade?" Part 2 has one more marcher answer the question:
- Dow Constantine (King County councilmember)

"Rainbow Flags" part 2 focuses more on those estimated 50,000 people who poured into the Pride Festival at the Seattle Center following the parade.

This includes an appearance of a very special guest star, the Flying Spaghetti Monster (sponsored by the Pastafarians), chorus boys, plus the usual assortment of jugglers, stilt-walkers, and adorable children. And, let us not forget, the many young men who dance in their underwear under the Seattle Center fountain.

Amidst the cheering crowd in the Seattle Center can be heard the last words in the video; Abigal, singing from the stage sends a parting message: "Be out. Be proud."

Appearing in "Rainbow Flags" - Part II:
- a bit more of Lambert House
- Batman and Robin
- Can Can, voted "People's Choice Award" (lots of dancing, gyrating young men and women)
- Episcopal Church
