I grew up in a house were I was beaten and put down by my father every day for 13 years. I don't blame this kid, I understand. There were days when I considered killing my father and at one point I had a plan. I didn't want to kill him, I wanted to be free. This kid should have been put in Juvenal and given intense therapy. Not punished, because I doubt his mother and stepfather would have been punished for their actions.

I think the maximum sentence for a child should be 20 years. 10 if they are under 13.

How is that harsh? LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE IS THE BEST SENTENCE!! He would have killed again if he was tried in juvenile court and released after a few years.

Too many children and teens are being sent to prison for life, when they have troubles, mentally...Where I live, you are an adult at 18 years old...Juvenile Justice is being shut out! I am not saying that what the boys did was right...but you must look at the mental aspects of any case...juvenile or adult!
