Arcade Fire on Later with Jools Holland, 2005-05-13. Absolutely stunning! Still to this very day the best studio performances I've seen by any band.

  • Unbelievable. The amount of genius in these performances is off the scale.

  • rik mayell and his band are just awesome

  • Major goosebumps at 4:02. Amazing performances.

  • Radiohead and Arcade Fire own Jools. Everyone else just watches in amazement.

  • This was the night I became a fan. One of the few great bands where I got on board from the beginning. Still gutted I've never caught them live yet...

  • Regine's keyboards are very loud and heavy in this version of Power Out. I love it!

  • @msgribbin My mum first told me about AF,she is 60 but still has great taste in just about every thing :) I would love to see them live

  • @seldomseenman Yep.it's a big statement, haven't said stuff like this about anyone since I was too young to know better but, really, can't think of anyone whose first three records match these guys. Beyond belief pretty much. Each different, all slow burn classics. And the live shows, no words left. If there's anyone round the next bend hearing these guys and ready to take it a step beyond, well, that I gotta hear !

  • I've been stuck in a constant loop of theirs since I seen them live last December in one of the worst venues in Glasgow, the SECC. All through a free gig ticket, knew they were good but walked out the place declaring how I wanted to be OBSESSED with this band. Can't get enough of them still. Seen them at Benicassim too. The only band I've ever went intentionally sober and been in a complete trance. I listen to all sorts of music but they are far and above my favourite. Beautiful.

  • 3:50 is just a fairytale beautiful picture.
