Start this exercise by discussing stereotypes and prejudice. Explain what this is and if the group have ever experienced this personally.
Define stereotype - "One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type."
Define prejudice - "An adverse judgement or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts".
Ask What the group think is a typical homeless person look like.
Prompts you can use are:
*What do they wear?
*What names do we use to call them?
*How does society look on them?
*Where do they sleep?
Show the floor
Ask the group and formulate discussion around questions:
"Do all homeless people look the same?"
"Do we stereotype homeless people?"
