@lxswrx And then a decade later, Kurt Cobaine stole their idea and made a career out of it....
-
Those lyrics are quite profound.

@mobilus11 Said to the bartender "Best night I ever had"
Singin' to the bar
Had a microphone (in)to her heart
I said -
Goodbye madam
I'd had a bird in hand
I said -
I'm doing good
And put love in her heart
-
Excellent Upload, even got the cat meow at the end...lol
-
That sounds like a 74 Marshall amplifier.
-
I think the meow sound is actually from a dog.

And the antithesis to this song was probably "Sorry, No Words" by The Usual Gang (as they called themselves in 1980) on a certain disco-parody record. There weren't supposed to be lyrics to THAT song (so the singer hints at), but, lo, there they are anyways. [According to Richard DeBartolo, good-condition copies of that EP still exist after over 30 years.]

"i got as microphone in my heart"

nice but we all know the lyrics are just gibberish but cool attempt to make real lyrics. :)
-
"I said goodbye Madam I had better head out!" is what I heard.
-
I SAID I RUIN TO IT!

This is great. There are no actual lyrics. The singer was scatting to keep the rhythm on an early take and they decided to keep them. Been driving folks crazy for decades. Brilliant!!!
Went to this bartender thirsty tonight, uh yeah
Said to her good morning and a microphone in her heart
I said – goodbye madam I've had a bird in hand
I said – I'm doin' good and put love in her heart
(first line "thirsty tonight" could be "Thursday night")
