Mr. Lutz and his 2009-2010 6th grade students compress 36 hours of black bean plant growing time into approximately 3 1/2 minutes. Video shot with an Elura 100 minidv cam, and istopmotion software run on a macbook pro. Notice the positive phototropic (response to light), and negative geotrophic (response to gravity) growth responses. Also, watch how the leaves bring themselves up to prepare for the coming daylight right before the sun comes up. The circadian rhythm of nature is amazing!
