http://blog.heritage.org We face many challenges as a nation today. But as we celebrate the birth of Ronald Reagan, it is important to note that these are not new challenges. Reagan faced similar problems, but believed that it could be "morning in America". On this anniversary, we should honor him by recommitting ourselves to the conservative principles he championed.

@publiusovidius Anyone else remember when the liberal Democrats would kiss ass to communist regimes when Reagan was President? Remember how the liberal Democrats would appease dictators back then? If it were not for Reagan, Russia would still be the Soviet Union with its puppet communist countries. Remember who weak our national defense was before Reagan was President?

I remember when Reagan was giving a speech and some red diaper doper baby hippie character type stands up and starts giving Reagan a bunch a crap. Reagan responded elequently with the facts and then told that bum to "shut up"! A class act by Reagan!

@yakyakyak69 Ronnie was stodge of the super rich. Guys like Walter Annenberg and Lew Wasserman, both billionaires. It is no coincidence that the Annenberg Foundation started a veneration shrine to Ronnie. And Lew Wasserman was head of MCA, the most powerful movie company in the world. "You cross Lew and you he'll screw" was the insider caveat.

@craigdickson At least with Reagan, we knew were getting our "bang for the buck," since he brought down the Soviet Union overnight. This clown Obama has quadrupled the deficit in less than two years, and we've gotten nothing! This America-hater, Obama isn't worthy to lick Reagan's shoes!
