My guide made us walk across it at low tide with water up to our chests in 2006. It was crazy. There are crocodiles in there. Beautiful place. Playa Grande is a good place to escape touristy Tamarindo. Btw- Fuck WMG.

Go with a travel/tour company. If u don't want to do that, you can fly direct to San Jose (CR's capital) from either Newark, Houston or Miami (I think) but then its a 7 hour drive from there.

Wow, Playa Grande-Tamarindo looks like a great place to be in Dec. when the snow starts falling up north. What's the best way to get there?
