Konami's Out Run?
No not really of course but they surely had Sega's famous game in mind when they developed this game.
Hyperrally (or Hyper Rally) was a game released by Konami in 1985, the same year it released its more famous Road Fighter.
The object of the game is to pass a certain number of cars to qualify for the next level. Typically for a Konami game of course you will not get far by simply driving as a mad man. Each of those levels requires a certain tactic to pass the number of cars that is required.
The game is beautifully designed. In later levels you can see lightning lighten up the sky and the tunnels levels are great too.
The game was rereleased in 1989 as part of the Game Collection Special together with Road Fighter and Pippols. The color of the cars in both racing games was changed from red into orange.
This vid invoke my memories,
HyperRally is good game as same as OutRun with different characteristic.
This game need more tight handling,to test player's patience to make fun.

It is indeed a good game and demands much more patience from the player compared with both Out Run versions and Mad Rider. It is a game that is well designed in my opinion. I also like the lightning storm on some later levels.

Thanks for the compliment. I too prefer these old racers as they had a certain simplicity and charm in them that is lacking in modern racing games.
