Did you apply any clear on it at all?

no not on the project. my Harley is flat blue and when I had to repaint the front fender I went to our local paint shop, got the paint and added a flattening agent to the single stage paint to get the flat look.

where do you find bobber seats something like that

that is a seat pan i found on ebay, I did all the custom engraving and tooling to the leather, stiched and rivited to the pan. I'ts a one of a kind..

Where did you get your bars/cables? what size are they?

my store can order this bar, it's a 1" dia 18" bar we sell them for $70. I had another local shop build the cables for me and I did all the electrical.

Back in the day, bikers would remove everything thats unnecessary off they're bikes for speed. They would cut the rear fender and removed the front one, usually made them "dirty and old" looking like a rat rod. Now a days its more for looks then speed. Short rear fender, flat paint and  solo seats.

I cut my pipes to this configuration and they are flaming! did your's start flaming at this stage? or when you cut them shorter?

Nice bike but I am starting to hate flat black. Everybody that does a bob / chop instantly thinks flat black.

man im really interested in getting a v-star and bobbing it out.. you have probably one of the top 5 bobbed vstars i seen on youtube so far.. i like yours because it seems cost effective.. what exactly did you have to do to the stock v-star? did you have to get a diff frame or do anything to the frame? also.. how much did all the upgrades to bob cost ya not including the price of the bike itself?
