Sweden - Life Without the Euro | Made in Germany

The Swedes have long been skeptical about the euro - but reservations have never been as great as they are today. In a recent survey, 64 per cent of Swedes said that, in light of the Greek debt crisis, they would vote against the euro if a new referendum were to be held today. In 2003, Swedish voters snubbed the common currency by 56 per cent.Report by Claudia Laszczak.

A project like the Euro is intended to last for centuries, so judging the success of it over a time-span of 10 years is what actually is stupid. Sure, for now it might be beneficial to stay out of the Euro, but soon or later all of Europe will join - only if European countries want to be capable to compete with China, the US and India. I think they do ;)

It's weird how the Gold standard is being criticized with the same arguments that are just as valid against the Euro. The only difference is the Euro only has the downsides of the Gold standard and none of the benefits...

Of cause national floating currency is probably even better then a gold standard at least until the entire global economics can be re-invented, which it has to be, if we are to survive as a species.

Modern socialist engineers have gathered the euro countries together in their grand experiment, which is failing fast finally
